Role in the project: Building on strong expertise and infrastructure in biomass analysis and evaluation of biomass feedstocks and biomass conversion technologies, CELIGNIS will lead the local biomass feedstocks characterisation activities, carrying out all measurements and compiling results in the feedstock database.

Celignis is a spin-out company from the University of Limerick in Ireland. It was formed to commercialise the rapid biomass analysis methods developed by founder Daniel Hayes under the EU FP7 project DIBANET (www.dibanet.org). Its well-equipped laboratory and highly-trained personnel provide high-throughput and accurate biomass analysis and bioprocess development services for bioenergy and biorefinery industry clients across the globe.
